For added weather protection and to guard against water damage, cladding – especially wall cladding – has often been a feature of the more exposed properties throughout the country. Cladding has also occasionally been used to add a decorative touch to interiors, with wooden panels in particular contributing to an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication.
In recent years plastic has started to become a popular cladding material, for use both inside and outside a property. There are several good reasons for this.
Firstly, plastic wall cladding units are all made with interlocking edges, rendering them easy to fit together, which in turn also achieves a completely secure, water-tight fit for the user.
Secondly, plastic cladding is very easy to keep clean since mud and other detritus can be easily wiped away. Stains and other unsightly marks can also be removed easily.
Linked to this ease with which the surface of plastic cladding units can be kept clean is the fact that they are also impervious to water, sunlight and extreme hot or cold atmospheric temperatures; and all of course without the need for the application of any treatment or sealant.
In the rare instance that one of the cladding panels becomes damaged or broken it will be extremely easy to replace, not least because each unit is relatively inexpensive.
Finally, plastic wall cladding is also suitable as a hygienic, easy to maintain, decorative interior feature; particularly since the panels are also now available in an alternative wood grain effect.
At Bliby Plastics we stock a range of different cladding panels at competitive rates, along with cast iron guttering.
