When carrying out small-scale structural improvements on a property, such as the installation of wall cladding, fascias or guttering, aesthetics can be as important as the practical considerations.
Quite often, when aesthetic considerations come to the fore, many householders choose to limit their choice of installation materials to those in the more expensive, ‘quality’ range. However, this can be an unnecessary option to take, and may even prove to be a mistake in the long run.
In the case of guttering for example, the classic look of cast iron can often be an essential requirement for more traditional properties, and can also lend itself equally well to many modern buildings. There is, however, no real need to invest in cast iron guttering if all one is after is simply the effect of cast iron; modern UPV plastic guttering is available in a range of shapes, styles and colours including those that recreate the look of cast iron guttering.
UPVC plastic also has the advantage over cast iron in that it is lighter, easier to install, and will not rust.
Likewise, in regard to fascias and wall cladding, whilst the use of wood may well provide a warmer, less clinical look than white plastic, it can still be possible to create a convincing wood effect by using brown or wood-grain pattern UPVC plastic instead. UPVC is also preferable to real wood since with UPVC there is no danger of rotting.
At Bliby Plastics, as a leading plastic fabrication company, we can demonstrate the full range of plastic’s aesthetic and practical versatilities.
