When sourcing building materials for any project you will want to deal with suppliers that have expert knowledge of their chosen field, the range of products to meet your needs and the depth of inventory to ensure that you can acquire the supplies that you need when you need them.
When sourcing plastic materials such as plastic guttering or wall cladding you will find some larger suppliers offer such broad ranges that they are unable to really support sales properly and definitely can’t claim to be experts in such diverse product groups. Smaller suppliers frequently face the challenge of perhaps not being able to meet large scale needs or maybe there will be a delay to obtain products that need ordering in. At Bliby Plastics, we specialise in supplying a broad range of plastic building materials such as plastic guttering and wall cladding. Our aim is to be the number one specialist supplier and our business model supports this. By specialising in just plastics we are not trying to be all things to all people but we are big enough to offer variety and depth in a focused product range.
Purchasing plastic guttering and wall cladding or other plastic products such as plumbing is made significantly easier when you have identified a supplier that you know and trust which can deliver the goods when you require them. There are many companies vying for your custom and our nationwide delivery from our broad range of stock means our family run business can meet your needs.

Low maintenance building
Plastics are widely used in building projects as they are simply good at what they do. If you use plastic components and expose them to the elements, they will continue to perform to a high standard for many years with little sign of wear or deterioration.
When plastic building products such as plastic guttering or plastic wall cladding are compared to more traditional materials, the difference in both cosmetic and structural maintenance required is quite marked. Not only is there a quantifiable difference in required levels of maintenance, there is also a marked difference in both the required effort and structural demands of the initial installation.
Plastic is inherently low maintenance, and this stems from the materials properties themselves rather than treatments or coatings applied. Plastic guttering is not adversely affected by UV rays, and wall cladding is easily cleaned to retain its original appearance for a prolonged period. Without a spot of varnish or paint in sight, these materials will continue to appear as was originally intended with minimal effort. Fitting these materials is inherently easy due primarily to one significant factor. This is the weight (or lack of weight) to plastic components such as plastic guttering. The light weight also means that the fixtures and fittings used in installations are less heavy duty than those required to support heavier wooden or metal components.
At Bliby Plastics, we offer a broad range of plastic building materials such as plastic guttering or wall cladding. All of our products are available for UK wide delivery.

All your cladding needs
Plastic cladding offers both weather protection to the outside of a house, and hygienic protection to the inside of a house.
External plastic cladding offers many benefits over traditional materials in use such as wood. Plastic is very durable, flexible and lightweight. In addition to these properties, it is UV resistant and water resistant. The benefits of all of these features, is that plastic cladding is easy to install in the first instance and once in situ, it will last a long time, requiring minimal maintenance along the way.
Hygienic cladding is commonly used as an alternative to ceramic tiling, with some significant benefits over this alternative. Being supplied in large sheets, plastic cladding can be fitted rapidly, by covering large surface areas with a small number of sheets. Not only are these large sheets quick to install, their large coverage necessitates minimal joining. When considering the location of such plastic cladding frequently necessitates a high level of cleanliness, minimal joins mean that there are significantly less areas where germs and bacteria can hide from cleaning activity. When compared to a tiled surface, the length of joins per square metre is significantly smaller.
One of the preferences for traditional materials, in these two applications, is their appearance. Plastic may not be the first port of call when considering aesthetics, but this does overlook the many varied textures and finishes available from plastic cladding. At Bliby Plastics, we can provide both wall cladding and hygienic cladding, in a variety of textures and finishes.

Plastic, it’s fantastic
There are many reasons why plastic is so widely used in building projects. A simple look around your current surroundings will almost certainly evidence plastic in a variety of different forms, some structural, some functional, some protective – and even some that are decorative.
Observing those very same products will evidence further the versatility of the material. Some finishes will be opaque, some transparent, some smooth, some textured, and even some that do a very good impression of being anything other than plastic.
Plastic is versatile. This is why at Bliby Plastics our plastic distribution business offers a broad and extensive range of products. This is not surprising at all, when you consider the extensive use of plastic. Yet, we only deal in products primarily related to building projects. We offer extensive supplies such as plastic guttering, fascias, wall cladding, and plastic sheets amongst others.
With the ability to manufacture plastic in large moulded pieces, with all of the benefits of colour choice, textures, water resistance and many other features, plastic is ideally suited to many applications. Plastic guttering is arguably the most universally used, with it being the primary guttering material in almost all new builds. Fitters like plastic guttering due to the ease of installation. Friction fits, glues, and screws all make plastic products easy to fit and keep watertight. The large pieces that can be manufactured also reduce the need for extensive joining. This applies to products other than guttering also. Wall cladding benefits greatly from this, whilst being lighter and longer lasting than other materials.

Plastic prejudice
Plastic materials do not always get the reputation they deserve. It is not uncommon to perceive plastic as a budget alternative to other, more traditional types of material. An example of this prejudice is evident in planning laws surrounding listed buildings. Plastic guttering on doors and windows are generally considered to be a material not in fitting with the setting. Whilst we may aspire to the idea of living in a picture postcard village, which happens to have little or no plastic anywhere, this poses a problem of both inconsistency of thought and action, in addition to arguably making life unnecessarily difficult.
It is no accident that plastics are so widely used in construction, and it is almost certain that the internal fixtures and fittings of all but the most religiously maintained listed buildings will include plastic quite extensively. Quite simply, plastic is common because it is an excellent material with a broad range of uses.
Plastic guttering is flexible, yet durable and easy to install. Plastic drainage offers versatility and durability, in addition to a simple and effective watertight solution. Along with doors, windows, fascias and other applications, plastic is quite simply used more broadly than any other material in a construction setting.
If you are not restricted by arbitrary planning laws, your home will doubtless need plastic fittings at some point in its life. At Bliby Plastics, we supply an extensive range of such products from our premises in Kent, and we deliver throughout the UK on a daily basis.

The Plastic Age
History has experienced many ages: the Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. Only time will tell if there is ever to be a plastic age, but if there is, it may well be around the early period of the third millennium AD. It is highly unlikely that any one material will be so totally prevalent, as stone most likely was in the stone age, yet plastics are currently used in a startling range of applications.
For many applications, plastic is quite simply the first choice material every time. For other applications, it may not be the primary material in use, but plastic frequently offers a viable alternative material or possibly, elementary componentry in a larger structure.
Plastic’s prevalence is linked to many factors and properties. It affords a structure that is relatively strong, and can be moulded into totally bespoke shapes. Offering durability, water resistance, lightweight properties and affordability, plastic exists in structures all around us. Whilst we are visibly aware of its presence in domestic and office settings – such as PCs and kitchen implements – it performs silently and discretely around those very same settings.
Plumbing and drainage is heavily dependent on plastic fittings and other structures, such as plastic fascias, plastic guttering and plastic cladding exist in abundance.
With so many plastic materials in use, they are widely available and when sourcing such materials, experts such as ourselves at Bliby Plastics can ensure that you get dedicated assistance, when selecting appropriate products from an extensive range.

Plastic is the builder’s mate
Plastic is used in many building and applications, due to its versatile nature. Plastic offers a cost-effective solution for many different settings. It has advantages over other materials, in that it is very easy to install due to its lightweight nature, and its ability to be manufactured in large sizes. This limits the number of joins that need to be made, and the time it takes to install.
Plastic materials are used most commonly for external fittings, where its water resistant properties combine with durability and UV resistance to perform protective, or functional, roles around the building. Some of the most common applications are guttering, soffits and fascias.
When buying plastic materials for building use, Bliby Plastics are a family based business, specialising in all of these types of plastic materials and other products. Offering nationwide delivery, we can ensure that all of your plastic requirements can be fulfilled in one drop. This saves our customers both time spent travelling and sourcing goods, and money on competitively priced materials.
Beyond materials for the outside of buildings, other types of plastic material in widespread use are those such as hygienic cladding, which is a great alternative to tiling in wet areas. Drainage materials are almost exclusively plastic, and plumbing is now more frequently plastic rather than copper.
During the building or decorating process, plastic sheeting can be invaluable in countless settings such as protective coverings, waterproof coverings, or maybe as a cover to stop things being blown away. Plastic is truly the builder’s mate.

Choosing The Right Suppliers
When it comes to choosing plastics, whether it’s guttering, fascias, wall cladding or just about anything else, it’s essential that you choose reliable stockists. Unfortunately, few people realise just how important this point can be, so here are a few reasons why you should always choose well-respected and trusted plastics suppliers.
• It’s only by choosing respected suppliers that you can be sure that they are trustworthy. A lot of people try to take their chances these days and we’ve all heard about people being duped by disreputable sources, so don’t make the same mistake and always look for guttering and other plastic products at respected stockists.
• Plastics suppliers that aren’t well-respected won’t be so concerned with quality, and that’s probably why they’re not so popular. Quality is essential to consider, even more so if you’re a tradesman, as you want to do a quality job that won’t need replacing a few months down the line. This can even end up costing you more than what it would if you simply sourced reputable suppliers in the first place.
• Unscrupulous companies will always be looking for ways to make easy money, and as such you can never trust their prices. Reputable companies, on the other hand, will always give you the best prices that they can as they want to encourage repeat business and thrive on the satisfaction of their customers.
As you can see, it really is important to choose respected plastics suppliers. Only then can you be sure that they can be trusted, and that their guttering, fascias and the like are of top-quality and that you’re getting the best price possible. Don’t be conned into anything less and always come to us here at Bliby Plastics for all of your plastics needs.
